Dole Taps Tutwiler as Traveling Campaign Director

Robert Dole is tapping former State Department spokesperson Margaret Tutwiler in his search for a comeback in the polls. Tutwiler served as a top aide to former Secretary of State James Baker and moved to the Bush reelection campaign with Baker. A Dole spokesperson described her new role as a traveling campaign director, a chief of staff of the plane. The latest ABC News/”Nightline” polls show Republican Bob Dole trailing President Clinton by 15 points among likely voters.
