THE MEETING WAS ORGANIZED BY REVEREND BENJAMIN CHAVIS AND THE NATION OF ISLAM, AND WAS AIMED AT GETTING CANDIDATES IN THE DEMOCRATIC, REPUBLICAN AND REFORM PARTIES TO PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE NEEDS AND CONCERNS OF BLACK AMERICANS.
