Bush Rescinds Tariffs on Steel

On Thursday, President Bush officially rescinded tariffs on imported steel. The World Trade Organization had threatened to impose record trade sanctions against the U.S. if the tariffs were not lifted. The move could benefit Democrats in the 2004 in the steel producing states of West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
