Author Iris Chang Dead at 36

And the award-winning writer Iris Chang has been found dead. Chang who is best known for chronicling the Japanese occupation of China and the history of Chinese immigrants in the United States, was found dead in her car Wednesday of a self-inflicted gunshot. Her books included “The Rape of Nanking” and “The Chinese in America.” She was 36 years old.
