Gore Calls For Rumsfeld, Rice, Tenet to Resign

In a major speech Wednesday, former vice president Al Gore called for the resignations of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice and CIA Director George Tenet. He said “We simply cannot afford to further increase the risk to our country with more blunders by this team.” He also said three of Rumsfeld’s deputies should also resign: Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz; undersecretary of defense for policy Douglas Feith; and undersecretary of defense for intelligence.
