President Bush vowed yesterday the US will investigate if Iran had any role in the Sept. 11 attacks. Bush accused Iran of harboring al Qaeda leaders, of having a nuclear weapons program and of funding terrorist organizations including Hezbollah. On Sunday acting CIA Director John E. McLaughlin said on “Fox News Sunday” that the government “has no evidence that there is some sort of official connection between Iran and 9/11.” The 9/11 commission is expected to announce that it has found evidence at least eight of the 9/11 hijackers passed through Iran before the attacks.
