Ex-Argentine Naval Officer Sentenced to 640 Years in Prison

Spain’s high court has convicted former Argentine naval officer Adolfo Scilingo to 640 years in prison for crimes against humanity committed during Argentina’s dirty war more than two decades ago. Scilingo was found guilty of throwing30 naked, drugged prisoners from planes during a series of so-called death flights. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison for each of the 30 people thrown from planes.
