Italy Fires Intelligence Chief Linked to CIA Rendition

In Italy, the country’s top intelligence official has been fired amid continuing investigations into his role in the CIA’s kidnapping of an Islamic cleric. The official, national intelligence chief Nicolo Pollari, is facing indictment over the abduction of Osama Mustafa Hassan Nasr, known as Abu Omar, from the streets of Milan in 2003.
