Hi there,

As Democracy Now! turns 29 this month, the need for independent news questioning and challenging those in power is more critical now than ever. Although this is a period of great uncertainty for news organizations like ours, we are unwavering in our commitment to continue to bring you fearless trustworthy reporting on the issues that matter most. If our journalism is important to you, please donate today in honor of our 29th anniversary. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you so much.

Democracy Now! helps grad students in Sociology!

“Students watch the Democracy Now! broadcast two days a week and we watch and discuss some of the most relevant material in class the next day. Some notable moments were teaching students about Iran/Contra (something they had not even heard about), Abu Ghraib (again, astonishingly, news to them), and socialism according to Senator Bernie Sanders. At this point in the semester, many students are watching the broadcasts on their own and more often, and I am very gratified to be able to lift the veil a bit for members of this generation.”
- Judith Wittner, Director, Graduate Program: Sociology, Loyola University
