Haitian interim President Jocelerme Privert is warning the country faces a possible famine from what he described as the “apocalyptic destruction” of Hurricane Matthew. The death toll from the hurricane has topped 1,000 as the country battles a growing cholera outbreak and authorities dig mass graves for those killed by the Category 4 storm.
