Newly released documents have revealed retired Army General Michael Flynn, whom Trump has chosen as national security adviser, shared classified military information without authorization while he was the U.S. military intelligence chief in Afghanistan. A secret 2010 military investigation concluded Flynn “inappropriately” shared classified information with British and Australian officials, including secret information about the CIA. Flynn was not disciplined for the intelligence breach, and it is not known the extent of the information shared, because the investigation itself remains classified.
