Human rights groups say at least 40 people have died in the ongoing clashes. Protests began 10 days ago after Indian security forces shot dead Kashmiri independence activist Burhan Muzaffar Wani. India has shut down printing presses and imposed a ban on some newspapers in Kashmir from printing amid the ongoing protests.
