This comes as Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee said Thursday the Trump Organization was “actively negotiating” a deal with a sanctioned Russian bank during the 2016 presidential campaign. The charge stands in stark contrast to a conclusion reached by Republican leaders of the committee earlier this week, who declared they found no evidence of collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Russians.
