Arizona Teachers’ Strike Continues as State Budget Talks Stall

And in Arizona, public school teachers remain on strike today, as budget negotiations that would include more funding for public education stalled Wednesday. Republican Governor Doug Ducey has promised to sign a budget deal that would end the strike, including a 20 percent pay raise for teachers and school staff, but lawmakers are still debating the budget.
