In Russia, up to 60,000 protesters gathered in Moscow Saturday for the fifth mass demonstration in a month — and the largest demonstration the country has witnessed for years. Dozens were arrested in Moscow, as well as in other cities across the country. Saturday’s protest was organized to denounce the recent barring of opposition candidates from running in an upcoming election for Moscow City Council.
