WATCH: First Public Hearing of the House January 6th Committee

Special BroadcastJune 09, 2022

Tonight was the first public hearing of the U.S. House committee investigating Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election and the deadly January 6 insurrection at the Capitol. The primetime hearing came as five members of the far-right Proud Boys were indicted for seditious conspiracy.

“These hearings will provide voters with a choice between those who will want to continue to defend free and fair elections and those who want to take away the will of the people,” said Kristen Doerer, managing editor of Right Wing Watch, who joined Democracy Now! today and previewed what to expect.

Watch Friday’s show when we will feature highlights from the hearing.
