Meanwhile, the Associated Press is reporting Pakistani intelligence officials are discounting the US government’s claim the alleged plot was the work of Al Qaeda. According to the officials, the suspects were “too inexperienced” to carry out the plan. They said the suspects are not known to have attended training camps in Afghanistan or Pakistan. They’re also believed to have learnt about making bombs by reading text books.
