Citing a U.S. official, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported Sunday that President Obama’s national security adviser, Thomas Donilon, had personally briefed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on contingency plans to bomb Iran should the United States decide to abandon the diplomatic track on Iran’s nuclear program. The Israeli government has denied the report.
