Co-author of the new book, A Sliver of Light: Three Americans Imprisoned in Iran. Prior to his arrest in Iran, he taught in Asia, Africa and Europe about the political economy of healthcare and was co-director of an environmental education center in Oregon. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at New York University in history, with a background in environmental sustainability.
