Hi there,

The media can be the greatest force for peace on Earth. Instead, all too often, it’s wielded as a weapon of war. That's why we have to take the media back. Thanks to a group of generous donors, all donations made today will be DOUBLED, which means your $15 gift is worth $30. With your contribution, we can continue to go to where the silence is, to bring you the voices of the silenced majority – those calling for peace in a time of war, demanding action on the climate catastrophe and advocating for racial and economic justice. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you so much!

Democracy Now! Internships are paid, 20 hour per week, temporary work placements to help students, people early in their careers and career changers to gain entry-level skills and experience in the fields of outreach, social media, education, fundraising, translation and archiving in a non-profit setting. Find out more about the Internship Program.

The Democracy Now! Archive internship program is structured for students and individuals interested in gaining hands on experience in the field of audio-visual archiving and preservation. Composed of over 70,000 media items, the archive contains books, photographs, artifacts and audio-visual materials such as field recordings, oral histories, interviews, and news footage from the 1980s to today.

An integral part of daily operations and production of Democracy Now!, the archive is also used as a resource by researchers, filmmakers, artists and educators. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in media archives in a busy newsroom environment.
