Opposition leader Nawaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League called on Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf to resign.

Nawaz Sharif: “This is our number one demand today: the man must step down. He is the root cause of all the problems in this country. He is the problem. He is the real problem. If he doesn’t do that, this country, God forbid, is doomed.”
